🚌 Bus Services at Ezeiza Airport

Buses represent one of the most common ways to travel to and from Ezeiza Airport, offering a range of options from economical public buses to express shuttle services. However, the choice implies a balance between cost, time, and reliability. This analysis, based on the experience of hundreds of travelers, details what you can really expect from each service.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions about Buses

⚖️ What is the main difference between Tienda León and Neo Traslados?

Tienda León is the historic and largest operator, with a more extensive network of destinations and theoretically higher frequencies, albeit at a higher price. Neo Traslados presents itself as the low-cost alternative, although users report a considerably lower level of reliability, especially regarding schedule compliance.

🚍 Is it practical to use the public bus (Line 8) with luggage?

Generally, it is not the most comfortable option. Although it is the cheapest alternative, it is a standard city bus not designed for large suitcases. The trip is long and can be very crowded. It is essential to have a SUBE card to pay, as it does not accept cash.

🕒 Are the schedules published by shuttles reliable?

User experience indicates that schedules should be taken as a reference. Both main companies accumulate complaints for delays and, in the case of Neo Traslados, for unannounced service cancellations, especially during night hours.

🐾 Can I travel with my pet on shuttles?

Policies are usually restrictive and expensive. Tienda León, for example, has been criticized for charging very high fees for transporting pets in kennels, often exceeding the cost of a passenger ticket several times over.

📝 Traveler's Manual: Critical Points on Shuttles

Published Frequency vs. Reality

This is the biggest friction point. Travelers report that advertised frequencies are often not met. Problems range from delays due to overbooking (Tienda León) to the total cancellation of scheduled services (Neo Traslados).

The Risk of Being Stranded at Night

Several Neo Traslados users have reported arriving at the airport to take a previously purchased night service only to find it cancelled without notification, being forced to look for much more expensive alternative transport.

Inconsistent Service Quality

The onboard experience varies. Reports range from friendly drivers to rude staff. Amenities are also a weak point: Tienda León buses, despite being more expensive, often lack basic services like USB charging ports.

Lack of Transparency in Advertising and Pricing

Travelers have pointed out practices such as promotions that do not apply correctly when paying at the counter or last-minute price changes, generating a sense of mistrust.

Express Shuttle Analysis

Manuel Tienda León

It is the most established express bus service, connecting Ezeiza with the Obelisk Terminal, Aeroparque, and long-distance destinations like Rosario and Mar del Plata. It also offers private transfer services.

Pros and Cons according to Users:

👍 Pros: When the service works as intended, users value its punctuality. Counter staff is sometimes decisive, and there have been reports of excellent handling of lost items.

👎 Cons: Complaints are numerous and recurring. They include ticket overbooking resulting in long waits, lack of staff empathy, uncomfortable buses without chargers, and a pet pricing policy considered abusive.

🗣️ User Experience:

The general perception is of a service that, despite being the most expensive, has deficiencies in treatment and does not always take responsibility for inefficiencies that can affect passengers' plans, such as missing a connecting flight.

Neo Traslados

This service presents itself as the budget alternative, connecting Ezeiza with Aeroparque, Retiro station, and Plaza Italia.

Pros and Cons according to Users:

👍 Pros: Price is its main attraction. Users often highlight the friendliness of the staff at the stand and the availability of Wi-Fi in the units.

👎 Cons: Reliability is its biggest weakness. The most serious complaints focus on the cancellation of services (especially night ones) without prior notice, unpunctuality, and extreme difficulty in obtaining refunds.

🗣️ User Experience:

It is perceived as a high-risk option. While it can result in considerable savings, the traveler is exposed to being stranded and having to spend much more on last-minute transport. The lack of an effective customer service system aggravates frustration when problems arise.

Rates

- From / to Aeroparque: AR$11,500 per leg
- From / to Retiro/Obelisk terminal: AR$11,500 per leg

These rates apply when booking online. Otherwise, add 15%.
